Born on November 25 1968 Jillian Noel Hennessy is a lively Canadian actress and singer celebrated for her notable contribution to American television. She has been praised for her stellar performances on the American TV show Law & Order in which she captivated the audience for three seasons, playing the prosecution officer Claire Kincaid, and Crossing Jordan for six years in which she was the protagonist Jordan Cavanaugh. She also put her acting abilities on display in the films RoboCop 3 Most Wanted as and Chutney Popcorn (an independent film) and The Acting Class. In these films, Shennessy also demonstrated her writing and co-directing abilities. Hennessy kickstarted her acting career by co-starring with her sister playing twin call girls for Dead Ringers. The actress briefly appeared in Buddy the Musical - The Buddy Holly Story on Broadway in 1990. In 1993, she stepped out of the world of musicals, and into the science-fiction genre, playing Dr. Marie Lazarus. Her big break came later that year when she was cast in the second season of the hit NBC crime drama Law & Order as assistant district attorney Claire Kincaid. Parker appeared in films that included RED Fried Green Tomatoes Boys on the Side, West Wing Angels in America and Boys on the Side. Her role was recognized with the Golden Globe Award and Emmy Award for her role in these television series. Parker was also the winner from the year 2001 Tony Award for Best Actress for her role in the Broadway Play Proof.
